Entries can be left at Gilbert & Jury 128 Barkly Street Ararat but must be collected from Showgrounds on Show Day after 4pm.

 

Entry Fee .50c Prize money First $3, Second $2 unless otherwise stated.

A novice must not have won a first prize at any show in nominated class.

H19 *Garment / outfit of wearing apparel (maximum 3 Sewn by machine. May be hand finished. Accessories such as scarves, stoles, shawls, gloves etc are no acceptable. Knitted / Crocheted items not acceptable.

Garment Regulations

1. To be constructed in fabric, using natural fibre or fibre blend. The garment to be made by the exhibitor.

2. An exhibitor may represent only one society at Group level and one Group at State level. An exhibitor may only win one Group Final in a show season, should the same article be entered again and found to have already won a Group Final in the same show season the exhibitor must return the prize money and will be disqualified from exhibiting for 12 months.

3. The Melbourne Group 14 winner of the current Show will compete as a finalist in the following State Final at The Royal Melbourne Show.

4. A garment having won at a Show will compete at a Group Final. The winning garment will then compete in the State Final at the next Royal Melbourne Show.

5. A Garment having won at a State Final is no longer eligible to compete in the competition.

6. Each garment entered must be the bona fide work of the exhibitor.

7. If for any reason a winner is unable compete at Group or State Level then the to second place getter is eligible to compete.

8. A person will not be permitted to win at more than one show within the State in any one Show year. Persons not adhering to this rule will be required to forfeit/refund prize money.

9. All work to have been completed within the last 12 months.

PATCHWORK COMPETITION Regulations

 

1. A patchwork cushion, machine pieced and machine quilted, no larger than 50cm x 50cm.

2. An exhibitor may represent only one Society

LEGO

Entrants to make model using their own Lego.

Models to be placed on sturdy board, maximum size 30cm x 30cm. Entries to

be personally delivered to the Craft Pavilion at the Show Grounds by 9.00am

Sunday 24th 2010. Entries must be personally collected from the Craft

Pavilion after 3pm on Show Day.

Although all care will be undertaken, the Show Committee will not be

responsible for any exhibits, or parts thereof, that may be lost or broken whilst

in their care.

Farm Art Competition

 

FARM ART COMPETITION CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Entries to be in one of two sections: OPEN or SCHOOL. Entrants must nominate which category

ELEGANT or ENTERTAINMENT.

The person/group named on the entry form must have created the garment.

Entries are limited to ONE entry per person/group only per category;

ELEGANT or ENTERTAINING. Only ONE garment per entry will be accepted

Models under 10 years, will not be accepted. The supply of own model is preferred. Entries to be made from farm products, material or item/s found on a farm. Buttons, zips and other fasteners may be used without penalty. The garment must not hinder or injure the model and be of a manageable style and weight.

Entries will be judged on the use of agricultural products and/or materials, their creativity, fit and appearance. The creation must be durable enough to be worn at least four times.

Placegetters are encouraged to enter the Heinrich Merchandise Farm Art Competition at the Wimmera Machinery Field Days. Please note all entries must remain available to the organisers for display and promotional purposes.

Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants are:
