VICTORIAN VINTAGE TRACTOR PULL RULES

·         Vintage tractors to be pre-1955.

·         Classic tractors to be pre-1960. If your tractor was made after this year but the same model was produced to this year, your tractor will be eligible to run.

·         All classes to be set on rated drawbar horsepower from relevant test sheets.

·         Tractors to be in standard from.

·         Tyre variation will be allowed ONLY if:

(a)      they were available as options when new.

(b)     They are the only modern tyre size available to replace old size.

(c)      Rim space will be permitted to enable modern tyre size to fit narrow rims.

·         One wheel weight will be allowed per wheel. The weight must be an original as supplied by the manufacturer for the relevant model. The wheel weight must not protrude past the outside of the tyre,

·         All weights must be secured at all times.

·         Maximum drawbar height shall be 22” unless otherwise visibly standard.

·         Front wheel lifting during pulls will not be allowed.

·         All drawbars to be fitted with either D shackle or clevis pin ready to hook up.

·         All drivers to be licensed and insured.

·         No passengers allowed on tractors unless original fixed seating was provided on that model.

·         Pulling will start and stop at the sound of the horn on the sled or as signaled by the flagman.

·         Tractors must be in neutral for hook-up and unhooking.

·         Full pulls will return at a greater weight at the end of each class.

·         Tractors are to be driven at walking pace at all times.

·         All tractors must be submitted to a safety check by the club’s safety committee. Safety committee to have final say in all safety matters.

·         If there is a seat fitted on the tractor, the driver must remain correctly seated at all times.

 

Classing steward’s decision is final.

Drivers must attend a driver’s meeting at the start of the day.

The aim is to roll a roll of hay over a distance to 30 metres in the quickest time.
